Lift Me Up! Ride-a-thon 2007

On a warm, sunny Saturday in May, the Lift Me Up Ride-A-Thon was held at Rolling Meadows Farm in Purcellville. It was a beautiful day to ride over the meadows hills and streams with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. Riders and horses, alike enjoyed the day, which ended with a lovely buffet lunch graciously donated by Marge Fowler of the Fairfax Hunt and Leslie Shigaki of Snickersville Hounds.

The event, which was held to raise funds for dust-free footing in our indoor arena was a great success and will go a long way toward allowing our riders with breathing issues to ride all year long.

Thank you to everyone who participated. We hope you will want be a part of it again next year.

A special thanks to Mr. Charles (Chips) Chester for allowing us the use of his farm and also to Linda and Vas Devan for allowing us to ride on their property.
