2005 Lift Me Up! Walk/Ride-a-Thon

On Sunday, June 12 Lift Me Up will be hosting their 17th annual Walk and Ride-A-Thon. This year, we will be riding at Rolling Meadows Farm in Loundon County with a guide from the Fairfax Hunt Club. Our guide, Gin Richardson, will take riders on a cross country ride similar to one the hunt club might follow. Riders will be heading out at 10 a.m. Walkers are invited to come and enjoy the scenic property and view. There is a country road walkers can follow or they are welcome to explore some of the 300 acres of Rollilng Meadows Farm.

There will be a light lunch available following the ride or walk. Participants are asked to have raised pledges of at least $50 for the event. All those who participate will receive a Walk and Ride-A-Thon T-shirt.

Directions to Rolling Meadow Farm are as follows:

From Leesburg - Route 7 to Purcelville to business Route 7 - go west. Turn left on Route 690. Go south thru the blinking light at Route 734 (Snickersville Turnpike). Turn left on Route 630 (Jeb Stuart Road). Go approx. 1/4 mile and turn right thru the gate into the field.

From Fairfax - Route 50 west through Middleburg. Turn right on Route 611. Go approx. 5 miles and turn right on Route 630 (Jeb Stuart Road). Go approx. 1/4 mile and turn right thru the gate into the field.
